As the Administrator of Northampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Caroline discovered her true calling in long-term care while pursuing her graduate education. Originally drawn to hospital administration, Caroline’s passion for ensuring quality care and support for those who can’t advocate for themselves led her to a fulfilling career in long-term care. With a Master’s degree in Public Health from ECU (East Carolina University), Caroline brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Caroline leads a diverse team of caring individuals, working collaboratively to provide compassionate, quality care to our residents. Her deep roots in Northampton County make her role as Administrator particularly meaningful. She considers it an honor to serve the members of her community and those in the surrounding areas. Caroline’s commitment to providing compassionate, quality care is at the heart of her role at Northampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Rakitra M. Wiggins

Rakitra M. Wiggins, RN, Director of Nursing, brings over two decades of heartfelt dedication to healthcare leadership. Deborah Lathan

Admission Director

Deborah Lathan, our Admissions Director, began her journey here in 1996 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Over the years, she’s grown with us, taking on various roles, including Medication Aide and Activities Director, which she pursued after continuing education at Halifax Community College. Her inspiration to join healthcare came from the compassionate care her own grandmother received from Home Health Staff.

In her current role, Deborah oversees admissions with dedication and a deep belief in giving everyone a chance for change. She values our facility’s unique team spirit, where everyone pitches in to provide the best care possible. Deborah’s passion is making a positive impact in people’s lives, helping them along their journey to better health and well-being while reducing the administrative burden for family and loved ones.
